@pittsburghpenguinfan You’re not the only one, but I think their new stuff is WAY more accessible. And it’s obvious the direction is better for the band as a whole as they’re playing Madison Square Garden 10 years later instead of some smaller venue like B.B.King’s or Webster Hall. They WANT to reach a lot of people with their music and you can tell all are hungry for it and have the scope to be as pop as they are, and they didn’t hold back? from it. I like that about them.

@ryanhollins11? btw, I was at this concert and it’s funny you said “there could have been young children.” There were! I was surrounded by a bunch of kids under 18. When will was in his robot suit and was doing “I’m In The House” he kept saying M-Fin and N-bombs, and it was so wildly inappropriate for the audience it was like seeing 50 Cent rap at Chuck E. Cheese’s. Even he had to stop himself like “whoa there’s kids here, let me stop.”

  12. Pocketrocklife says:

@ryanhollins11 I know, right? Their sound is exceedingly pop and the N-bombs (esp. will.i.am’s N-bombs) and other curse words were really unnecessary (I felt) for the track as a whole, as it rocks anyway without. And they’re? clever enough not to curse. I thought Fergie saying “muthaf—–” was cool, but over all she could’ve just said “mutha-mutha” or “futhamuckin” and we would’ve dug it anyway. That’s their creative choice, I guess.

@Fizaad101 yes, for this concert the entire floor section? of MSG was a general admission standing section. there was also a small vip section on the floor next to me … and that was also the same – standing.

  25. Fizaad101 says:

    Is the? general admission standing??
