The first time I looked through the Canon 12×36 IS binoculars I thought that they were just a pair of binoculars and the image stability feature would be sketchy and would still require a tripod setup to eliminate the shaking. Well I was wrong and when I got the chance to actually use them, I was completely speechless.

Unlike traditional binoculars, the Canon 12×36 IS binoculars have image stability, which is of course what the IS stands for. Anyway generally the shaking from your hands when holding the binoculars, although small, was more then enough to make the image distorted and the higher the magnification of the binoculars, the more you could see the shaking.

I am somewhat of an amateur astronomer and like to stare at the night sky through a telescope. After I learned about the Canon 12×36 IS binoculars, I may only use the binoculars as my teliscope, well maybe I will but for right now these binoculars work just as good as a telescope. And even though you do not need a tripod, there is a place for you to mount one on the binoculars themselves, however you have the option to connect to a tripod if you would like to.

So, how do the Canon 12×36 is binocularswork? I won’t bore you with the details here, but really all you must to do is press the button on top of the binoculars and hold it down while you are viewing. Granted, this will make your finger want to fall asleep after a little while, but the view is worth it. With any luck they will fix this feature in forthcoming models so that you can just press the button once and the IS will stay on for a little while.

The Canon 12×36 IS binoculars are powered by 2 AA alkiline batteries. You can use rechargeable batteries and you will still get the same amount of performance, however, the batteries still only last about 20 hours or so. But that is 20 hours of full viewing time if you want to, you can use these binoculars like any regulare set of binoculars without using any battery power.

To sum things up overall I thought these binoculars were excellent The focus was very sharp and exact, and even when you turned the IS feature off you could see for miles without distortion, although you may still need a tripod. These binoculars are water resistant to so you can use them in the rain but they aren’t water proof, but even with that drawback the Canon 12×36 IS II binoculars are definitely more than meets the eye.

If you are an astronomer or an amateur, your binoculars must have good magnification power and a big objective
lens. It is a good idea to compare the prices and the features of different binoculars. You may consider buying a
cheaper set if the features are comparable, however, if the features do not completely match your needs it would be
unwise to base your decision on only the price of the binocular set.
These features of a binocular can range from a very close distance of 5mm outward to as much as 23mm. Eyeglass
wearers should consider those binoculars with a rating in the 14mm to 23mm range. The separation between short and
long relief tends to be between 14mm and 16mm.
These designations can differ from one manufacturer to another. What may be classified as 14mm by one may be 15mm
to another. And some manufacturers also record ratings as low as 13mm to be long eye relief.
The first purpose of the binoculars eyecups is to provide shade or cover from sunlight, either direct or indirect,
between the eye and the binoculars eyepiece. Providing shade or cover between the eye and the binoculars eyepiece
greatly enhances the clarity and sharpness of the object being viewed through the binoculars by reducing glare onto
the focal lens of the binoculars and the eye. Binocular eyecups should always be in the normal position when
viewing through your binoculars if you are not wearing glasses.
If you are wearing glasses for corrective vision or sunglasses and do not want to remove them before viewing
through your binoculars, fold or twist the binoculars eyecups down before viewing. This will bring the binoculars
closer to your eyes while providing the approximate eye to lens stand-off of the binoculars. When the binoculars
eyecups are in the down position for glasses use, the binocular eyecups provide very little cover from outside
light sources.
If you wear glasses it is recommended that you remove your glasses when viewing through your binoculars if your
vision is such that you can focus clearly without them. For most people that wear glasses this is no problem, but
for some, especially those with astigmatisms, this is not always the best situation for clear, sharp binocular
viewing. Viewing through your binoculars without your glasses when you can still focus clearly will offer you the
best viewing through your binoculars as far as eye relief, stand-off and light glare are concerned.

Are you buying binoculars in the UK? If you are purchasing a higher end pair of binoculars, you will likely be spending over 100 pounds. Realize that you can make big savings when buying a pair of binoculars in the UK.

First realize that there are many retailers that sell binoculars. Some are dedicated to optics, and you will find a big range of binoculars, video camera’s, digital cameras and even telescopes.

There are also other retailers that offer less range of binoculars for sale, however, they have many other types of products, such as Argos and other catalogue companies. However, catalogue companies are almost in all cases the worst option to get a discount on binoculars. The catalogue companies often have inflated prices, and a bit of research can see you saving quite a bit of money.

Though specialist stores have great stock, usually you will find that the specialty comes at a price. Again research is needed. If you are buying binoculars in London, then you may find that you have more options. In fact in some shopping centers, you could find several places selling the same products, but at different prices.

Though all these options are great, there are ways to get an even bigger discount when you buy binoculars in the UK. If you are not buying binoculars in London, then this option can be a great way to go.

Buying binoculars online is a way where you don’t even have to leave the comfort of your own home. With a bit of research, you can find several places online that can deliver to your home.

With so much competition online, you can be assured that you can make big savings. This saving comes about because the online businesses don’t need to hold big and expensive retail space, nor do they need to have as many dedicated sales people. This saving is brought to you, and ultimately you benefit with getting the best prices possible.

There are several considerations when buying binoculars online. Many stores operate in the US and other places. Ordering from these places could see you spending more in postage, and soon finding that any savings have disappeared.

There are many binoculars for sale online in the UK. These companies can deliver to your home, and you know exactly how much you are paying. Though buying online does not have the benefit of paying with cash, though you could find it even easier, such as paying with PayPal.

Whether you are buying binoculars in the UK or buying binoculars in London, with some research, you can buy binoculars in the UK and make big savings.

Whether you are buying binoculars UK or buying binoculars in London, with some research, you can buy binoculars in the UK and make big savings.

There’s an epidemic sweeping the world in today’s technologically enhanced world. And it is affecting our children at an alarming rate.

Kids just do not get outdoors anymore. The Nature Conservancy and other organizations have produced studies that show that all of us, and especially children, are drastically reducing the amount of time spent with outside activities in favor of television, movies, Net surfing and video games.

A Kaiser Family Foundation study said that children spend 6.5 hours of quality time daily with electronic equipment. Another study put children aged 6 to 11 in front of the TV or a computer screen 30 hours a week on average.

While some time with electronic gadgets isn’t so bad, consider this: if children do not make a connection with nature at an early age, they may never do so. And that is a frightening fact that can have major implications for our environment as the younger set grows into adulthood.

There is no denying that a Wii, Playstation or cool cell phone will certainly be drooled over gifts this Christmas, but it might be a good idea to balance those desires with gifts designed to get children introduced to the outdoors. Here are a few ideas to jump start that thinking:

Something with wheels. A new bike, rollerblades, scooter, skateboard, wheeled shoes. The outdoors doesn’t have to be the deep woods or a quiet pasture. Cruising down the sidewalk or up the road is a good start.

Binoculars. A good set is not very expensive and opens up a new world outside.

Telescope. Also fairly inexpensive for a starter set and one look at the surface of the Moon, the rings of Saturn or Jupiter’s moons may just be enough to get them interested for a long time to come.

Fishing rod and some tackle. Fishing gear comes in all different sizes, even kid-sized. Throw in some tackle, lures and a box to hold it all and you could introduce those children to a lifelong passion.

Kites. Name your price range and you are likely to find a kite to match. Remember how much fun it was to catch a breeze running and feel the tug of the wind on your string? What child could resist?

Night vision goggles. Believe it or not, they are available for under fifty bucks at some large department stores and they let kids see up to fifty feet in total darkness. How awesome is that?

A sled. It won’t take much snow to make a sled go. They come in all kinds of shapes and sizes and there are few kids on the planet who wouldn’t jump at the chance to fly down a hill on a sled.

Inexpensive digital camera. Some of the lower megapixel models have gotten very affordable as higher end models saturate the market. It’s an electronic device, but one that can be used outside to capture all kinds of bugs, birds, or maybe you sledding down a hill. All right, so they will have to upload the pictures to MySpace or Facebook later on, but at least they spent time outside taking the shots.

A canteen. Hiking, biking or just walking to a friend’s house can work up a thirst and it’s good to stay hydrated.

Backpack. Great for stuffing a take along lunch, snacks and gear for a long hike outdoors.

Net and a bug jar. For the younger ones, but a great way for kids to find out about bugs and stuff.

So put down the remote, turn off the computer, step away from the couch and get outdoors. Explore. Breathe. Relax. And feel good about introducing children to nature and to their own backyards.

Everyone will love to just watch nature with a pair of binoculars. Even though the people that studied birds loved to watch them they wished that they could take a picture when they had a perfect shot like so many times when they looked through a pair of binoculars and saw a pretty shot.

Brand names and makers have a way now that you can combine a camera with a pair of binoculars and take a shot or picture. It is just a digital pair of binoculars that you can take pictures with. It’s just a pair of binoculars with a simple little digital camera. Each camera or pair of binoculars will be able to zoom in quite a bit so you wont need the whole binocular thing as much but you will be looking through them quite a bit to get your picture.

The main thing that you will want to look at when you are buying a pair of these digital pair of binoculars is the megapixels. The more megapixels the better the shot is going to be and look. If you have a pair that has a 10 megapixel rating then you are going to have one good looking picture. Most of the time when these new inventions come out they are not going to have all that great of a digital camera. It will probably be like a 5 or 8 megapixel camera. Which is alright considering it will part of a set of binoculars.

You will be able to have a memory stick or card probably up to around 4 GB. That is a whole lot of picture space for anyone to have on a digital camera. You could have like 2000 pictures on something like that depending on how big the picture is. The other thing is you will have a LCD display with the digital camera that is provided with the set of binoculars. This product is probably going to be very expensive at first but I’m sure you can come up with something of your own to use for awhile before you can afford to buy something like this. This kind of product would probably be sold to schools and people who needed them first. Like I said they would probably be a lot of money to buy and the parts and accessories wouldn’t even be on the market so you would have to order them if something broke and that would take forever to get. So it’s just I think worth it to still have a good digital camera as a backup to take still shots of things. You might like a digital camera so you should just go look online they have many to choose from on eBay and there are all kinds.

www.clickherephotographytips.com Camera tripods had been used the decades to assist photographers with creating their very unique images. I tripod is an essential item that every photographer should have regardless of the level of experience as they offer support for the camera and they can be used in varying degrees of lighting for example at night, or; for landscape photography Not all tripods are created the same, as there are many different varieties of tripod. Some of these include a mini tripod, Compact tripod and professional tripod for studio or location work. As tripods are different also are some tripod heads, for example some tripod heads are used in the television and movie industries to provide support to their very heavy equipment. Other tripod heads are designed to support a variety of different cameras, everything from smaller compact digital cameras, 35mm cameras, digital cameras and medium format cameras all the way up to large format cameras. I have also seen tripods that are used to support other items such as overhead projectors, slide projectors, video cameras, binoculars and telescopes. Tripods are manufactured by a variety of companies some of these include Manfrotto, Velbon, Gitzo, Bogen, Slik, Dynatran etc and each provide somewhat similar functions.
