What brand of binoculars are good but not overly expensive?

I want to get someone a set of binoculars for christmas, he uses them for hunting. I only want to spend about 50 dollars on them, anyone have any advice about brand or type or something? I’m thinking either Gander Mountain or Fleet Farm?
