For most of us that are involved in photography, we know that these cameras, while high quality, are also high priced. But what if you can’t afford it? What if you are just trying this out as a hobby? In these cases – if you can’t afford it or if you aren’t TOO serious about the camera you are getting, the price is going to make all the difference in the world! After doing some research, you might come to find out about a little thing called a discount camera store. These are stores just like any other photography store online or offline in that they offer all the same products and brands, but without the large price tag attached to it. These are all brand name cameras!

- Pentax: This was a Japanese optical company, developing cameras, sport optics (e.g. binoculars). The company was incorporated with and into Hoya Corporation on March 31, 2008. Hoya also sells camera and optical products such as photographic lenses, lasers, contact lenses, etc.

- Olympus: This is a Japan-based company that manufactures some of the most popular optics and imaging products to date. Popular series include SP, PEN and Ultra Zoom.

- Canon: Most photographers will tell you that Canon and Nikon are THE best of THE best – ad it’s true! Not only are these cameras affordable at a discount camera shop, but they are durable and functional as well!

- Nikon: Like all of the above mentioned brands, Nikon has superseded film cameras and with good reason. Awesome imagining along with amazingly clear quality allows Nikon to continually be one of the most sought after camera brands in the world.

If you were to do some comparison shopping for a brand name store versus a discount camera store like a Brooklyn electronic shop, chances are you would see a huge price difference. We’re not talking $10 or $20, we’re talking $50+ on the penny. This is spectacular news for hobbyists or people that think they MIGHT want to get into professional photography, but aren’t willing to spend $800 on a camera they may or may not use again. This is always such a waste of money! Sure you can re-sell it, but chances are you won’t be able to get back what you put into it. Some of us try a few cameras before we find the one we really jive with – for me it was my Canon EOS Rebel T1i Digital camera – SLR with Live View mode.

These guys cost somewhere around $600-$800! Ouch! But after doing what any smart person does, which is looking online and researching, I found this at a much better price than expected. Now I can have the camera I want, and not fret over the high price. And now you can too since you know the secret of the consumer buyer! Do your research, take a look around and see what camera you would like to “work” with, and find an amazing price at a Brooklyn electronic shop!

www.1StopCamera.com
, the famous
Brooklyn Electronic Shop
, is your 1 retailer for all consumer electronics including televisions, home theater systems, appliances and cameras.

Digital video cameras continue to grow in popularity as the number of features increases and the cost decreases. There are a number of digital video camera accessories that can make these devices even more handy and useful. From small “flip” cameras to high-end professional digital video cameras, these technological wonders are becoming nearly indispensable to modern life. Digital video camera accessories can add significantly to your enjoyment of your camera.

One very popular digital camera accessory is a tripod. Whether they’re made to stand on the ground, or on a table top, tripods ensure that any video captured will be steady rather than jerky, and it makes it handier to shoot longer videos, since the videographer doesn’t have to hold the camera in place for long times. Tripods range in price from $10 to over $100, so you can find one in just about any price range. Check out Gorillapod tripods, too. They have bendable arms that can secure your camera to most anything.

One of the most useful digital camera accessories is an extra battery. Having a battery run down at a critical point in a video shoot can be a hassle, unless there are back-up batteries available. You’ll have to buy one to fit the exact model of video camera, because they all require different batteries. By giving batteries to the video photographer in your life, you’re really giving the gift of time savings. It’s a great accessory to treat yourself to as well.

Extra memory cards are also extremely useful digital camera accessories. Some cameras can take more than one kind, but you should check the model number to be sure. If you, or the person you’re buying for don’t have a built in computer card reader, you can buy card readers that attach to the USB port. These are incredibly handy for transferring video to other people’s computers, where there might or might not be a card reader built in.

For around $20 you can get a power adapter for the hugely popular Flip video cameras. These will charge up a flip camera in 2 to 3.5 hours, plus they’re compact and fold up even more compactly so they’ll have no trouble fitting in a pocket, purse, or camera case.

Another terrific little item is the Nikon 7072 Lens Pen Cleaning System. It’s a pen shaped device that can be used to clean lenses on cameras, telescopes, or binoculars. It contains a soft, retractable brush, plus a non-liquid cleaning compound on a tip made of chamois. It’s perfect for getting fingerprints, dust, and debris off a lens and costs about $10.

Attachable LCD shades are great digital video camera accessories. They come in sizes to fit 2.5 and 3 inch LCD screens and can be had for under $20. They make shooting video outdoors in bright conditions much easier on the eyes by shading the LCD screen so that it shows up better.

Digital video camera accessories are more than fun little add-ons. They can genuinely make it more convenient to use a digital camcorder, and are welcomed by all digital video enthusiasts. Digital video camera accessories range in cost from under $10 to over $100, so you’re certain to find something in your preferred price range. They make great gifts, even if the recipient is you!

If you have ever thought about installing some security cameras around you home there’s no better time than now. Home security cameras are becoming more and more popular since they can help identify thieves, vandals or just whose at your front door. They also act as a deterrent to crime since criminals will generally look for the easiest target. When looking to invest in some home security cameras there are some things to consider.

The camera however is also just for seeing what is taking place using a monitor or TV. More than likely you will want to also record what is taking place for evidence later on should something happen. For this you will need to plug the camera into a security DVR (digital video recorder) or some other device such as a computer with video recording capabilities. However this article will focus on some tips for choosing the correct camera.

So first you need to decide where you want the security cameras and the field of view (FOV) they will provide. If you were only thinking of installing one camera you would probably want to put it on the front of your garage or on a porch looking toward the street. You would also want a fairly wide field of view so a camera with a 3.6mm lens would probably be best. This will provide a good overall view of someone approaching you home.

A home security camera with a 3.6mm lens provides good overall coverage, however if your goal is to get facial details of someone at a distance greater than 20 to 25 feet you would need a larger lens in the camera, either a 6mm or 8mm. The larger the lens the more detail you can see at a particular distance but your field of view will be smaller. Is is similar to looking through stronger and stronger binoculars. So you need to decide what your goal is and whether one camera will suffice or if you need 2 or more.

Lighting is also a factor for good picture quality. During the daytime pretty much any security camera will provide a good image. However at night or in low light conditions you may need to use supplemental lighting. This could be a porch light or floodlight and you could also have them be motion sensitive. If installing additional lighting is not possible or desired you would need to use infrared security cameras. These type of cameras will provide a color picture in the daytime then switch to black and white and turn on there infrared illuminators at night.

Another factor you want to consider is the video resolution the camera can provide. This is usually stated in lines of resolution or TVL. Standard analog cameras will usually state 380, 420, 480, 550 lines etc. and the higher the number the more resolution or sharper the image will appear. However there are other factors such as the quality of the lens or DSP (digital signal process) used that can make one camera outperform another so the lines of resolution are important but not the only factor.

When first looking for a home security camera to fit your needs it may seem a bit overwhelming. So by first determining what area you need to cover, where you want to place it, the lighting conditions and if it is for an overall view or a more detailed view you have a good place to start. If you really are not sure which camera is best sometimes the only way to really get started is to purchase a camera see what kind of results you get and go from there. Most retailers will offer a trial period where if the camera doesn’t work for you needs you can simply return it for a different camera.

What are the benefits of using a night vision camera? What are the choices available? Can you create your own device? These and more will be answered right now.

What You Get

There are plenty of homes and offices that are using simply because the owners understand the advantages of having one in the area:

1. You can mount it. Unlike monoculars, binoculars, and goggles that have to be worn or supported by hand while you are using them, it can be mounted or installed in a covert area. You can let it function without your own personal help. If you want to go for something hi-tech, you can opt to connect the camera to an electronic control system, which can easily change the direction of its focus. You can also connect it to your computer, so you can monitor the images it is getting without having to go outside. Moreover, if you know how to network your systems or have an Internet connection, you can actually create a live surveillance broadcast online.

2. It can be hidden. You can rarely see night vision cameras that are large in size. Most of them are very small. Nevertheless, even if they are moderately sized, you can still hide them and get the results that you want. If you can choose your own, you can end up having one that has the ability to amplify light source or magnify images. Of course, it possesses the ability to see images even if there is no available ambient light.

3. You can install it in your car. You can also make use for your car. Brand-new and highly priced luxury cars are always temptations to robbers, who’d like to sell them in the black market. You can follow the same setup for your night vision camera used in your own home. The only difference is that what you’re monitoring is your own car.

You can also see it’s attached to cars of police officers. Because of a its capabilities, they can see the model, maker, and even the license plate number of a vehicle.

Is it possible to come up with your own camera?

The answer is actually yes. You may simply need a camera adapter that you would attach to your household camera. You can also adjust your own webcam, so you can enhance its capability during nighttime. Most definitely, if you don’t want the hassle that goes with coming up with your own, you better buy a complete product.

How technological is it?

It really depends on the manufacturer. If you know how to research properly, you can find that quickly changes to infrared mode even without your help. There are also others that can provide you with detailed recordings despite the changes of lighting conditions or the absence of a light in the area.

The best night vision camera would be equipped with Flir thermal imaging technology. This allows the camera to capture suspects without really having to see their actual images. It depends on the heat registered by humans, animals, and even objects.

IR-235 DX FLIR infrared camera is ideal for many purposes such as. IR-235 package is one of the smallest thermal imagers with a built in latest digital detector technology. The video output via RCA jack allows you to easily note down your thermal application. USB PC download cable along with a 2″ Active Matrix LCD onboard monitor, or removable SD ram card and the standard Adjustable eyepiece viewfinder helps store the attachments that are captures of live thermal movies or still thermal images.

This device doesn’t have heat sensors but rather infrared sensors that image emitted by all objects day or night. In this way we can also see the surroundings clearly. Even in the pitch black moonless night the target can be spotted. They might think they are in hiding but what they don’t know is that no one can hide from IR-235. It is also sensitive enough to get a lot of information which are invisible to an eye. For example the hand print left on the wall only after seconds contact. This happens because of the transfer of infrared energy from the hand to the wall. This device also shows you the areas of heating or cooling loss, moisture damage and mold infestation. It is simple and accurate.

It is very easy to use. As it is easy to use, the training cost reduces and so does the period of training. The agents can be out in the field immediately with the device. It does not take much time to learn unlike the other devices which are complicated. If the cost reduces that means that the nation is saved with a lot of money. This makes it affordable. You don’t have any buttons to push and no setting to remember about, all you have to do is point and shoot.

Applications:

• Energy audits.

• Mold detection.

• Building studies.

• Law enforcement.

• Military.

• Security.

• Surveillance.

• Facility maintenance.

• Condition monitoring.

• Roofing surveys.

• Mechanical & electrical analysis.

• Weapons inspections.

• Tank level integrity.

The start up time is 30 Seconds (Typical). It has got a Rechargeable Camcorder Battery (6VDC) – 4 included, with a Power Consumption of 5W. The dimensions are 7”L x 4”W x 4”H and weigh 2.3 pounds without a battery. The charging is done with an AC fast charger. The operating time after charging is for more than 3 hrs.
