one is much more magnification and clarity 20×70 rather than 10×50 but its not waterproof and requires a tripod (being so good) and has a ruby coating.
how important is waterproofing if its just for a regular first time user.

Go with the Nikons you picked or the smaller ones that I picked that are great carry binos.
Rely on Nikon for quality…….The only optics that are real good cost lots always……there are no cheap super optics……..
