Well for one you can test them both out and judge them for yourself. The brands have nothing to do with how good they are. I would test them and which can see further and more clearly. And maybe which can adjust more easily.

  2. CPL says:

7X means the magnification is 7 times. 10X is ten times. 50 means the objective lens is 50mm in diameter.

It is hard to say which is better. It all depends on your application., ie. how you plan to use it and in what kind of environment.

Higher magnification does not always means better. When you blow up the image bigger without increasing the objective lens size, the image quality is sacrificed, the image is blurrier, dimmer. It is just pure physics. Besides, when you magnify the image, any movement of your hands is magnified too. Sometimes high power binoculars requires a tripod to steady the image.

Another consideration is the quality of the optics. The quality of the lens design and lens material will give different results. Good lens is designed to compensate and correct the spherical and chromatic aberration of the optics and give you a very sharp and color accurate image. You can look through these binoculars to decide for yourself. Are the image equally sharp at the center and the edge? Do the image has rainbow like halo around it especially near the outer edge of the vision field?

The numbers you gave only specify the power and lens size. It does not tell you the quality. Highly reputable brand names and higher price usually are indicators of quality. The only way to tell is to look through them.
