i am considering a good set of binoculars for my husband, What should I look for?

I do not want to spend too much money <$200 for a set of binoculars but do not want to skimp on quality and resolution, what are your recommendations? My husband is a hunter, would a rangefinder be beneficial?
Depends on where hes going to use them, i would check out dicks or a hunting store if hes going to use them at night the range and the quality
Price will hold you back on some top quality gear. Nikon does make some low end optics

Compare low priced items you find with these you will want rigid water proof gear for hunting.

You say your hubby is a hunter so I’m guessing he probably has some preferences on what sort of equipment he prefers and I’m guessing you want to surprise him otherwise you would ask him this question and not us. Right?
A range finder is and excellent idea for hunters and you can get combo bino’s and range finders but for something decent you will need to spend more than $200.00. Another thing to consider is some hunters prefer a combo scope/rangefinder over a bino/rangefinder just because they can get an immediate reading on their target before they take the shot.
So because these are things that really do need more research based on your husbands preferences maybe just a set of standard Bino’s will do the trick.
