Choosing a set of binoculars?

I am trying to get back into birding again and need a good set of binoculars. I’ll be using them for field identification as well as backyard birding. I use to have an old set of 8×40s which I loved, but lost.
I am looking at getting a Bushnell® 10×50 Falcon™ Binoculars which is said to weight 27oz.
I am a beginner – intermediate birder. Is this a good fit?
Yes especially for birds. These are one of the best binoculars for birds
You may be happier with 8×40 than 10×50 binoculars. I have both. The 8×40 have a much wider field of view which comes in very handy when you are attemption to find that bird in a tree. If the field of view is narrow, you may never find it.
Another consideration is whether they are fog proof or not.
Bushnell Legacy 8×40 WP has a field of view of 430 ft at 1000 yds. whereas the Falcon has only about 300 ft.

Another good thing about this pair is the eye relief. If you should ever have to wear glasses, you can use these binoculars with your glass on..
If you want to spend more money, there are some really good binoculars availabe in the $300 price range.
Check these out.
